Exposed Aggregate

Overview

Exposed aggregate is a new paving product that is increasing in popularity due to its unique look and low maintenance. Combining grey, cream or coloured concrete with various decorative stones exposed aggregate offers strength, durability and class.

After many years of laying various exposed aggregate mixes, Leon McGough, proprietor of Gecko Rock (formerly known as Exquisite Limestone), felt that the look and feel of his exposed aggregate projects could be improved by enhancing the quality of the exposed aggregate mix being supplied.

For exposed aggregate driveways, the original 14mm exposed aggregate mixes are great but for many of our customers who now prefer exposed aggregate all around the home we were finding that the 14mm mixes were a little rough under foot.

Gecko Rock now offer all the standard 14mm exposed aggregate mixes (including some new designs) as well as a complete range of 5mm exposed aggregate mixes. We have also combined both sizes of exposed aggregate for a completely different look again.

The great benefit of this new 5mm exposed aggregate mix is that it is decidedly more comfortable to walk on than the standard 14mm exposed aggregate mixes that are common place in the industry at the moment. The increased density of small stone also makes for a more visually stunning finish.
